    Introduction to the Utilities
The Utilities that come with BF
Although Business Functions is not a Utilities package, there a few utilities that we feel are just essential if you spend any length of time financial modelling. These don"t do anything you can"t do yourself through the standard Excel menus, they just do it (in our view) faster.
The current list of Utilities is:
    • Range Value This takes its name from the Lotus 1-2-3 command that converts a range of cells to numbers (whether they contain formulae or not). It"s a bit like Excels Paste Special command.
    • Delete ¿Range Names¿ In some versions of Excel range names hung around even though you thought they were deleted. This utility deletes named ranges for good.
    • Go To The most common thing you need to do in Excel is navigate to the sheet in the workbook you are working on. This utility makes that easy, you can also navigate to a named range as well.
    • Enforce WorkBook Settings Sometimes it?s a good idea to enforce some settings you commonly have (eg show/hide grid etc) to the whole workbook, quickly. This utility uses settings you have in your BusFun.ini and enforces them on the current workbook.
    • Sort Sheets You can sort sheets in ascending or descending order with this sheet sorting algorithm.
    • Range Describer . This tells you information about a range, or a rangename. Its sometimes irritating trying to find out where in the workbook a rangename is - this utility addresses that.
    • Link Analyser. Finds the cell locations of links to other files, including in named ranges.
    • Create Local Range Name. Creates a local range name.
